BEGINNING

The cableway is an agribusiness transport system by cable, used initially and with great success in banana plantations, this system of transport by cable became an infrastructure of vital importance to transport the bunches of fresh fruit.

After achieving success and positioning itself in the banana sector, the cableway was introduced in the floriculture sector, reaching at present a coverage of around 30% of the area planted with flower in the country.

Currently, the cable transport system for the agricultural sector is becoming more important in the country's sector palms, because of its ease of installation and the benefits of transporting the fruit from the harvest site to the unloading area and extractive plant. It has managed to cover about 30,000 hectares in the country with the cableway system.

BANANA SECTOR

A system designed for agribusiness, with great benefits for the agility in the transport of fresh fruit, from the field to the packing area, helps to preserve the quality of the fruit in the best conditions for its later export.

This system allows the transport of the fruit suspended by the air, helping in this way to conserve the quality of the fruit. In addition to serving for transporting banana clusters, by the cableway system can be mobilized other type of elements as supplies for fertilization.

The cableway allows the decrease in loss of the quality of the fruit and the increase of the quality of the fruit for the export. At present the largest number of banana plants in the world use this transport system.

FLORICULTURE SECTOR

In this sector, we work on the integral logistics of the several flower varieties that are produced in the country, such as the transport of rose, standard carnation, mini carnation, pompones, cuttings among others, it is for this reason that each client Is a different universe in terms of design and timely need in the transportation of its products.

This system allows the transport of the cut flower from the greenhouses to the post-harvest area where the flower arrives suspended by the cable directly for its sorting and packing process.

At present, there are numerous successful cases where logistic processes of cable transport implemented in different Colombian companies were developed for optimum internal transport of the flower.

PALM SECTOR

The cableway system of palm fulfills the objective of transporting the bunches of fresh fruit from the field to the loading area or directly to the extractor if it is located in the plantation.

The transportation by cable system in the palm helps to evacuate the fruit in a shorter time and at a lower cost, which is why we are convinced that cableway system transport is an excellent option for the palm growers.

As this figure is still very small for the total area in the country, this means that the development and implementation of the product in this sector should be intensified in order to achieve coverage of the total area and make the system the main option for the transport of fruit in the palm-growing sector.
